IMPORTANT MESSAGE ON WORKERS' COMPENSATION INJURIES
Please be reminded that effective October 1, 2003, all Workers' Compensation injuries must be reported using the new Electronic Report of Injury. This web based form can be found at https://workserv.ohr.psu.edu/WorkersComp/user/logon.cfm or through links on various web pages, such as the Workers' Compensation page at http://www.ohr.psu.edu/erelations/workerscomp.htm and the Environmental Health and Safety site www.ehs.psu.edu.
As we go from testing to production, we are working on a couple of enhancements and hope to add them in the very near future. One change that has been successfully implemented is that the Dependents field is no longer a * required field. However, dependent information is a must in the event of a fatality. Hopefully we will not have to report any fatalities, but keep in mind that a fatality must be reported to the Workers' Compensation Bureau within 24 hours. Therefore, we need to be notified immediately, so do not hold up a report if you do not know the number of dependents. We can provide that to the Bureau as a follow-up.
