PURPOSE – The purpose of this award is to recognize, annually, an undergraduate student approaching his/her final year of study who has maintained a high level of academic achievement (3.0 cumulative grade-point average or better) while exhibiting outstanding leadership or service in at least one of the following areas:
- Participation in extracurricular activities, such as clubs or student government
- Maintaining an employment schedule (work study or off-campus)
- Community service, or service to the academic department, school, or college.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT – The financial support for this award was received from members and friends of the Arts and Architecture Alumni Society. These alumni believe that Penn State’s strength lies in its outstanding student body. It is their goal to use this award to recognize student achievement and potential.
ELIGIBILITY – This award will be presented only to an undergraduate student who is approaching his/her final year of study in 2009-2010. Eligible students must have graduation dates of fall 2009, spring 2010, or summer 2010.
NATURE OF THE AWARD – The recipient shall receive a $750 tuition remission, credited in fall 2009. More than one award may be made.
