Penn State Concert Choir Gives Annual Spring Concert

The Penn State Concert Choir will present its annual spring concert at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, in Esber Recital Hall. The concert will feature the complete "Madrigali: Six Fire Songs on Italian Renaissance Poems" by Morten Lauridsen, the Sweelinck motet "Cantate Domino," a set of British folksongs, and a set of spirituals. Assistant conductor Jamey Kelley will conduct the Hebrew "Songs of Life" arranged by Alice Parker. The Concert Choir just returned from a successful tour of the Boston, Massachusetts area at the beginning of March, and will be participating in a performance of Mahler "Symphony No. 2" with other Penn State choral ensembles and the Penn State Philharmonic Orchestra at the end of April. Tickets, $4 for general public and $2 for students, are available at the door.
