Winters MFA Exhibition

Veronica Winters, M.F.A. student in visual arts, will present her thesis exhbition, titled Ordinary Mysteria: Paintings and Drawings, from April 19 to 24, in the Zoller Gallery, University Park campus. The closing reception will take place from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 22. 

Winters's work is influenced by 19th-century Russian genre painting, Romanticism, Flemish naturalism and classical Greco-Roman work. She works from models, sketches, photographs and great artwork.

Winters has been published in the William and Mary Review, Kalliope, Women Artists 2004 Datebook and in the 2004 edition of the W&M Review.  She received an Honorable Mention in watercolor painting, Oklahoma State University, 2003; Best of Show at 33rd Gussman Student Exhibition, the University of Tulsa, 2001; and the Award of Excellence in the 20th Annual Student Photography Contest sponsored by Photographer's Forum Magazine, 2000 and 2003.
