Baroque Ensemble Performs

The Baroque Ensemble will perform on Sunday, April 3, at 7:00 p.m. in Esber Recital Hall, University Park. The Baroque music will consist of selections from Germany, Italy and France featuring Baroque Wind instruments. Listeners are fortunate to have some of the finest baroque wind soloists in the U.S. coming to work with the ensemble as soloists. Colin St. Martin, baroque Flute from the Peabody Conservatory, Marc Shachan, Baroque Oboe and Oboe D'amore from the Aulos Ensemble of New York and Owen Watkins, Chalmeau, from the Handel and Haydn Society of Boston will all be performing. In addition, Scott McCormick, Viola D'amore from the Washionton Bach Consort, John Gerber, baroque Horn from the Penn State Faculty, and Barbera Clemens, Soprano from the Penn State Faculty will also be present. The Program will feature works by Telemann, Vivaldi and Montclaire. Tickets are available at the door. Adults are $4 and students are $2.
