Philharmonic Orchestra Selected to Play at Conference

The Penn State Philharmonic Orchestra was selected to perform at the MENC 49th Eastern Division Biennial In-Service Conference in Baltimore, Maryland on March 4, 2005. The 70-member Philharmonic, conducted by Gerardo Edelstein, presents five to six full concerts per academic year. Philharmonic tours in the past have included concerts throughout the eastern United States in such cities as Baltimore, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. The Philharmonic's repertoire from recent years includes works by Brahms, Debussy, Dvorak, Stravinsky, Beethoven and Moussorgsky.
