Essence of Joy to Hold Fall Concert

Essence of Joy, conducted by Dr. Anthony Leach, will present its annual Fall Concert on Sunday, October 30, 2005 at 2 p.m. in Esber Recital Hall, Music Building I on the University Park campus. 'Anticipation II' will feature works by African American composers such as Raymond Wise, Kurt Carr, Donald Lawrence, Ysaye Barnwell, Bobby McFerrin, Undine Smith-Moore, James Mitchell and Roy Belfied, Jr. The choir will also premiere 'Grandmama Singing to the Lord,' an original composition by Penn State student composer, Christina Harrison. Soloists featured at this concert will include Andrew Parise, Christina Harrison, Allyson Daniel, Sean Lynch, Becca Zeigler, Justin Fyala, Adam Berndt, Emile Rochon, Christie McKinney, Ianthe Marini, Anthony DeAngelis and Megan Becker.
