Penn State Philharmonic and Chamber Orchestras perform first concert of the season

The Penn State Philharmonic and Chamber orchestras, under the direction of Gerardo Edelstein, will be performing their first concert of the season on October 5th at 8:00pm in Eisenhower Auditorium on Penn State's University Park campus. The Chamber Orchestra will perform Beethoven's Symphony No.8 in F Major and the Philharmonic will feature last year's Concerto Competition winner, Yoong Kyung Ahn, piano, who will be performing Rachmaninoff's Variations on a Theme of Paganini. The concert will open with Schubert's Rosamunde Overture and close with Capriccio Espagnol by Rimsky Korsakov, both performed by the Philharmonic Orchestra.

Tickets are $6 for general admission and $3 for students. Tickets are required and may be purchased at the door prior to the performance or by calling 814-863-0255.
