Dimensions in Jazz with Guest Artist Mike Brignola

Mile Brignola, world renown baritone saxophonist will be the guest artist at the 3rd annual Jazz Dimensions on Friday, October 7 at 9 p.m. in the Alumni Ballroom of the HUB-Robeson Center on the University Park campus. Brignola is currently the managing director of the Woody Herman Jazz Orchestra and is in demand as a clinician and soloist throughout the United States.

While on campus, Brignola will work with the Inner and Centre Dimensions and give master classes on improvisation and saxophone. In addition, on Thursday, October 6 at 6 p.m., Brignola will be presenting a master class with Penn State University combo groups in Room 128, Music Building II. These events are free and open to the public.

The concert on Friday, October 7 will have performances by Outer Dimensions, Inner Dimensions, Centre Dimensions and two of the combos from the Penn State School of Music jazz program. Selections will include Rhapsody in Blue, Fried Buzzard, Dearly Beloved, Here's That Rainy Day, Over the Rainbow, and others. This program is presented as a part of HUB Late Night and events begin at 9 p.m
