Penn State's Percussion Ensemble II and Mallet Ensemble to Present Combined Concert

The Penn State Percussion Ensemble II and the Penn State Mallet Ensemble will present a combined concert on Monday, April 10, at 8 p.m. in the Esber Recital Hall, Music Building I on Penn State's University Park campus. Percussion Ensemble II, directed by Graduate Teaching Assistant Scott Kemerer, will perform four widely varying works including an African percussion quartet, a chorale for marimbas, and a tribute to the fallen heros of Normandy Beach.

The Mallet Ensemble, directed by Professor Dan C. Armstrong, will perform works by Brahms, Kreisler, Bolcom, and PSU composition major Tom Woodring. Graduate students Henry Sobieski and Greg Garcia will be featured soloists. The concert will be free and open to the public.
