Penn State Art Professor Awarded Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant
April 27, 2007
Robert Yarber, Penn State distinguished professor of art, was recently awarded a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant of $15,000 that he is using to support his painting and his upcoming 2007–08 sabbatical.
Grants are awarded to professional visual artists internationally, based on artistic merit and financial need. The funds typically enable artists to create new works, purchase needed materials and pay for studio rent. The Pollock-Krasner Foundation was established in 1985 through the generosity of Lee Krasner (1908–84), a leading abstract expressionist painter and widow of Jackson Pollock.
