Advertising in OnStage is Good for Your Business and the Arts
June 14, 2007
How do you advertise your business or organization to sought-after customers and support the performing arts in central Pennsylvania? One of the best ways is by placing an ad in OnStage, the performance program distributed to patrons at Center for the Performing Arts presentations. Advertising space is available now for the 2007-2008 season, which begins in September and continues through April at Eisenhower and Schwab auditoriums on the Penn State University Park campus.
OnStage is distributed to about 50,000 patrons throughout the season, which this year includes 27 world-class presentations (several of which include multiple shows). The ad deadline is Aug. 10. OnStage advertisers have the option of running the same ad for the entire season or switching in December to a different ad–at no additional cost–for the second half of the season.
Center for the Performing Arts audiences encompass a range of demographics–families and children; business and community leaders; school classes; visitors from out-of-town; retirement-community residents; and Penn State students, faculty and staff. Ticket buyers predominantly come from Centre County, but many also live in Blair, Clinton, Huntingdon and Mifflin counties.
Five Tony Award-winning Broadway musicals, including the State College debuts of the Billy Joel-inspired Movin' Out and the comedy The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, are among the major attractions in the line-up of professional touring music, theater and dance.
The classic musicals Evita, Gypsy and Annie are also part of the schedule, along with superstar violinist Itzhak Perlman, Preservation Hall Jazz Band from New Orleans, keyboard wizard Chick Corea and banjo master Béla Fleck together in concert, St. Petersburg Ballet Theatre in Romeo and Juliet, Ballet Folklórico de Mexico, Actors from the London Stage in Macbeth, the Shaolin Warriors martial arts masters from China and Grateful Dead percussionist Mickey Hart headlining an international group of percussionists in Global Drum Project.
