Visual Artist to Give Public Lecture

Diane Borsato, a visual and performance artist, will give a free public lecture at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, in the Palmer Lipcon Auditorium, Palmer Museum of Art, on the University Park campus. The Institute for the Arts and Humanities and the Penn State School of Visual Arts’ John M. Anderson Visiting Artists and Scholars Lecture Series co-sponsor Borsato’s lecture.
Borsato, who received her M.A. in performance studies from the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, is a visual artist working in performance, intervention, video, installation, and photography. She has exhibited nationally and internationally with exhibitions and performances at galleries and museums including Skol, the Museum of Contemporary Art (Montreal), Gallery TPW, the Art Gallery of York University, The Power Plant (Toronto), eyelevel gallery (Halifax), TRUCK (Calgary), Saw Gallery (Ottawa), Artspeak (Vancouver), and a residency at Villa Arson, National Centre for Contemporary Art in Nice, France. Borsato is an assistant professor of interdisciplinary studio at the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario.
