Philadelphia Museum of Art Curator to Give Public Lecture

Michael Taylor, the Muriel and Philip Berman Curator of Modern Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, will give a free public lecture, "Body Matters: Marcel Duchamp's Etant donnés Revisited," at 12:15 p.m. on Monday, April 28, in 102 Kern Building, on the University Park campus. The Department of Comparative Literature and the Penn State School of Visual Arts’ John M. Anderson Visiting Artists and Scholars Lecture Series co-sponsor Taylor’s lecture.
Born in London, Taylor received his Ph.D. from the Courtauld Institute, where he wrote on Duchamp. He is an adjunct associate professor of the history of art at the University of Pennsylvania. He curated the recent Dali exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, among other exhibitions, and is the author of numerous catalog essays and journal articles.
