Guests will be treated to an art-inspired evening complete with an elegant sit-down dinner, musical entertainment, and fantastic silent and live auctions filled with interesting art and artful items.
All proceeds from the Gala dinner and auction benefit the Palmer Museum of Art and provide funding for the museum's free public programs, including lectures, gallery talks by exhibition curators, busing for school groups, docent-led tours for school and community groups, teacher workshops, theatre and music performances, films, and family programs.
Chevron will be the major corporate sponsor of the Gala this year. Chevron Corporation has made a significant donation to support the Palmer Museum of Art's annual gala and auction. Chevron is one of the world's leading integrated energy companies. They have approximately 58,000 employees, and their subsidiaries operate across the entire energy spectrum - exploring for, producing and transporting crude oil and natural gas; refining, marketing and distributing fuels and other energy products and services; manufacturing and selling petrochemical products; generating power; and developing and commercializing the energy resources of the future, including biofuels and other renewables. Chevron is based in San Ramon, Calif. More information about Chevron is available at www.chevron.com. Chevron and the Penn State Institutes of Energy and the Environment have recently formed a research alliance focused on enhanced coal technologies including chemistry, advanced fuels, combustion, analysis methods, CO2/greenhouse gas management and conversion. Chevron Corporation is proud to contribute to the Palmer Museum of Art's public programming through a generous gala donation.
All are invited to attend the museum's benefit gala, which will include dinner, musical entertainment by Rick Hirsch 3 and Quintessence, along with a silent and live auctions.
