Penn State’s Art Education Program to Offer Saturday Art Classes for Children

Penn State’s Art Education Program will sponsor Saturday art classes this spring for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Interested participants may register now for the nine-week session, which begins February 9, 2008, and concludes with a show of students’ work on April 26 (no class on March 8 or 15). Classes will be taught from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. by advanced art education students in collaboration with art education faculty and graduate teaching assistants. They will be held in studio classrooms in Patterson Building and the Visual Arts Building on the University Park campus. Class activities will be tailored to students at each age/grade level.
