Poet to Give Public Lecture

Stuart Kestenbaum, director of Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, will give a free public lecture at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, in 210B Patterson Building. He will discuss Haystack’s program and opportunities. Kestenbaum’s lecture is sponsored by the Penn State School of Visual Arts’ John M. Anderson Visiting Artists and Scholars Lecture Series.
Kestenbaum is a writer, poet and arts advocate and administrator with successful publication of his own creative work, including a series of monographs. He has received the Maine Art Education Advocate of the Year Award and a Distinguished Service Award from Maine College of Art. Kestenbaum has served as a visual arts panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts and has juried exhibitions for the Smithsonian and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
