Architecture Students' Art Work on Display
May 8, 2008
A comprehensive art and design exhibit titled, "INDIVIDUAL EXPRESSIONS," is presently on display at the Woskob Family Gallery, Penn State Downtown Theatre Center, 146 S. Allen St., through May 28. The exhibit is composed of individually assigned exercises performed by architecture and architectural engineering students enrolled in their first, second or advanced visual communication courses provided by the Department of Architecture. Each student art and design piece forms a diversified part of a unified whole realized under the common umbrella of a collective format; the 'dish', 'pie' or 'doily,' provided by the course instructor, Richard Alden, assistant professor of architecture. The show also includes a selection of some of Alden's of individual artwork, his "Colored Pencil Drawings" and "Cat Drawings."
