South Carolina Artist James Busby Gives Lecture

South Carolina artist James Busby will give a free public lecture at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, in the Palmer Lipcon Auditorium, Palmer Museum of Art, on the Penn State University Park campus. The Penn State School of Visual Arts’ John M. Anderson Visiting Artists and Scholars Lecture Series sponsors Busby’s lecture.

Busby received his B.F.A. and M.F.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. He is an adjunct faculty member at the University of South Carolina. Busby’s work has been exhibited in group and solo exhibitions, including The Armory Show, Scope Art Fair, Chelsea Art Museum, Stux Gallery and Bruno Marina Gallery in New York, New Gallery/Thom Andriola in Houston, and Reynolds Gallery in Richmond. His work has received recognition in several publications including Sculpture Magazine, Style Weekly, and The Washington Post, and can be found in private and public collections in the United States, Germany, Italy, and Japan.
