Dada and Surrealism Professor Rudolf Kuenzli Gives a Lecture

Professor of English and authority on Dada/Surrealism Rudolf Kuenzli will give a free public lecture, “Interventionist Collage: From Dada to the Present,” at noon on Monday, September 21, in 102 Kern Building, on the Penn State University Park campus. The Penn State School of Visual Arts’ John M. Anderson Visiting Artists and Scholars Lecture Series and the Department of Comparative Literature co-sponsor Kuenzli’s lecture.

Kuenzli is a professor of comparative literature and English and director of the International Dada Archive at the University of Iowa. He is also the co-editor of the journal Dada/Surrealism. His publications include New York Dada (1986); Marcel Duchamp: Artist of the Century (with Francis Naumann, 1988); Dada and Surrealist Film (1996); Dada 1916-23 (2006); and Cutting Across Media: Appropriation and Interventionist Collage (with Kembrew McLeod, 2010).
