Multicultural Programs
The
College of Arts and Architecture strives to maintain a student
body, faculty and staff representing the many cultures of
our society. The college has in place a strong recruitment
plan to ensure a concerted search for top students of diverse
backgrounds. Minority students comprise about 9 percent of
the student body within the college and it plans to increase
that percentage as much as possible in the coming years. Diversity
among students and faculty is a top priority for the dean
and the faculty.
"I believe that cultural pluralism is everyone's concern. The concept of diversity should not be isolated. It should be interwoven throughout the very fabric of our daily operation and into every aspect of collegial practice. " -LTC Joe Seldon, USAF-
