Criteria for Faculty Travel Grants from the Global Fund

(for inclusion in applications for funding and subsequent awards to faculty)

Matching funds from the college or unit are required.

Faculty travel grants from the Global Fund are intended to:

• support activities and exchanges with the University's key and strategic linkages;
• encourage new partnerships emerging from departments and/or individual faculty;
• support teaching or research collaborations with faculty from other countries that will involve undergraduate or graduate students;
• stimulate participation in international teaching or educational initiatives from Federal and State agencies;
• assist faculty who want to develop course materials that have an international component;
• provide seed monies to enable faculty to gain funding from other sources for international educational programs.

Note: Funding for faculty travel to research conferences or for research purposes that are not related to internationalization of educational opportunities will no longer be proveded from the Global Fund.
